We are currently conducting a search for Pricing Analysts to join our National Accounts team in Lombard, IL. In this role you will be responsible for preparing bids for large multi-location customers and utilizing financial and analytical skills to perform profitability reviews and proforma development. This position will also assist with the creation of customer strategies to drive profitable growth and retention while identifying opportunities to optimize profitablility of existing services.
PRINCPAL/ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead bid process for multiple concurrent bids utilizing systematic tools to manage and manipulate large amounts of data
- Guide National Account Mgrs/Program Mgrs and Market Area personnel on bid and profitability processes
- Obtain and utilize information from multiple Waste Management sources to calculate detailed cost and profitability analyses
- Assist with customer portfolio reviews by performing multiple “what if” scenarios to determine profitability improvement opportunities
- Assist with development of improvements to pricing/profitability tools and procedures
- Assist with the training of Waste Management pricing tools and methodologies
- Perform research and data analysis to support miscellaneous initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Required: - Bachelor of Science in Business related discipline or 5+ years of relevant financial/analytical experience
- Proficient in Excel and Access
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change and work effectively in a fast-paced/high pressure environment
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to identify fact patterns/trends from limited data and interpret this information to make decisions
- Ability to work with a Team, as well as independently with minimal direction
Preferred: - Waste industry knowledge
- Knowledge of internal WM systems and tools
